Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Shrewsbury. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the teacher in planning and delivering lessons to children with additional needs
- Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior plans
- Provide one-to-one support to children with additional needs
- Assist with the preparation of materials and resources for lessons
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members
Requirements:
- Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent
- Experience working with children with additional needs
- Experience working in a Primary School setting
- Updated and clean DBS on the update service
- Ability to inspire and motivate children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
