Job Title: Primary School Teaching Assistant

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Shrewsbury

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team in a Primary School in Shrewsbury. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children who have additional needs, particularly in Key Stage 1.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities to pupils with additional needs
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Provide one-to-one support to pupils who require extra help
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Experience working with pupils who have additional needs
  • Experience in a Primary School setting (preferably 6+ months)
  • Updated and clean DBS on the update service
