Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. The successful candidate will work with a child in Year 3 who has SEMH needs and requires support with challenging behaviour.

About the Role

This is a long-term, full-time opportunity that requires a teaching assistant with excellent behaviour management skills and a passion for working with children with SEN/ Autism. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar position working with special needs in a school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to a child with SEMH needs
  • Develop and implement behaviour management strategies to support the child
  • Work collaboratively with the school team to ensure the child's needs are met
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure consistency in support
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with SEN/ Autism
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Passion for working with children with special needs
