Senior Pharmacovigilance Scientist

At HIRANI, we are seeking a highly skilled Contract Senior Pharmacovigilance Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing biophysical assays for drug discovery.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Planning and Management: Assist in planning, implementing, and managing projects to ensure timely completion and meet organizational standards.
- Data Sharing and Collaboration: Share and discuss data with the Operations Manager to ensure antibody discovery projects are completed within agreed timelines.
- Team Leadership and Development: Assist in the line management and development of other scientific staff, including support, supervision, training, and staff appraisals.
- Process Improvement: Stay up-to-date with advancements in antibody discovery and assess new/optimized processes/technologies to achieve or exceed targets.
- Laboratory Operations: Oversee routine laboratory operations and maintenance, including stock management, procurement, cleaning, equipment calibration, and safety procedures.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present oral and written reports on research activities to internal and external audiences.
- Professional Development: Be proactive in continuing personal development and stay current with industry advancements.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintain awareness of all safety procedures, attend required safety training, and adhere to laboratory safety rules.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all duties are performed in accordance with organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
- Junior Staff Supervision: Review and sign off on work carried out by junior members of staff, including lab book and ELN.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Science-related discipline.
- Experience: Experience working with antibodies and recombinant proteins, personal animal license, and excellent communication skills.
- Technical Skills: Experience with MS Office applications, familiarity with working in an ISO 9001:2015 environment, and experience working with Bio-layer interferometry or Surface plasmon resonance-based systems.
