Job Title: Band 8b EPR and Standard LIMS Implementation Project Manager

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system and standardize the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) across the organization.

The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders from Clinisys, Barts Health, and East and South-east London (ESEL) Pathology Partnership to ensure timely implementation of Phase 1 interfacing Oracle Health Millennium EPR with existing LIMS, followed by Phase 2 of ESEL LIMS system and associated workstreams.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate and manage the implementation of EPR and LIMS across multiple departments and sites of the Trust.
  2. Ensure timely delivery of Phase 1 and Phase 2 implementation, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as they arise.
  3. Engage with clinical and operational user groups to agree scope of implementation, identify risks, and produce mitigation plans.
  4. Establish project governance meetings with internal and external stakeholders to ensure regular progress updates.
  5. Develop and endorse project implementation plans with EPR Programme Director, ESEL Pathology Partnership, and Barts Health experts.
  6. Present weekly highlight reports to LIMS and EPR project governance boards for clarity and regular updates.
Requirements:
  • PRINCE2 Foundation certification
  • HCPC Registration within a Pathology discipline
Desirable Skills:
  • Extensive experience of Pathology services and laboratory information systems
  • Practical understanding of IM&T requirements in the NHS Plan, Digital First, and other National Programmes for IT
