Job Title: Principal Product Safety Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Product Safety Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Safety and Environmental team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on product safety matters, engaging with third parties, and developing safety arguments using appropriate safety analyses methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safety engineering advice to project and engineering managers to ensure safety considerations are correctly considered and implemented.
  • Engage with third parties to review and gather supporting safety case evidence.
  • Develop safety arguments, both physical and functional, using appropriate safety analyses methods.
  • Line manage other safety practitioners.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Safety engineering processes, practices, and tools.
  • Clear understanding of safety engineering and assurance principles.
  • Experience and qualified engineers from other disciplines who display the correct behaviours and have an understanding of safety engineering.

Desirable:

  • Good communication skills and ability to interact and manage stakeholders.
