About the Role

Barnardo's is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team in Fife. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic support to children, young people, and families across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry a caseload of children, young people, and families, providing ongoing therapeutic support and capacity building.
  • Develop and implement interventions to support the emotional and mental health needs of children, young people, and families.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting children's mental health.
  • Contribute to the development of practice and policy within the service, ensuring that it is informed by best practice and evidence-based research.
Requirements
  • Qualifications in a relevant field, such as social work, psychology, or counseling.
  • Experience of working with children, young people, and families in a therapeutic setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
