Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work with adults with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and autism, providing assessment, diagnosis, and intervention to improve communication skills and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication needs in adults with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and autism.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication skills and quality of life.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, social workers, and carers, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Provide training and education to carers, family members, and healthcare professionals on communication strategies and techniques.
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Requirements:
  • Registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
  • Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and autism.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
