Candidate Requirements

Qualifications

Essential

  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience in an acute Endoscopy Unit.
  • Competency as an Endoscopy Nurse, capable of managing and participating in emergency situations and gastrointestinal bleeds.
  • Proficient in assisting with therapeutic emergencies.
  • Ability to adapt to unfamiliar work environments, utilizing initiative and experience.
  • Competent in administering intravenous medications and fluids.
  • Skilled in identifying and escalating deteriorating patient conditions.

Desirable

  • Completion of an Endoscopy-focused training course.
  • Capability to establish intravenous access.
  • Completion of a mentorship course.

Experience
