Structural Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at Service Care Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our Building Control Services team, you will play a crucial role in delivering cost-effective and customer-focused services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Structural Engineering Manager in the delivery of Building Control Services, including taking responsibility for service-wide and area-based initiatives.
  • Inspect and monitor remedial works necessary to defective building structures, including carrying out necessary repairs such as underpinning and strengthening.
  • Check structural elements of Building Regulations and Entertainment licensing as required under the Building Regulations and associated legislation.
  • Carry out design and site investigations for all new works and refurbishment projects.
  • Inspect Highways Structures and report thereon.
  • Prepare production drawings using Autocad software.
  • Make periodic visits to sites as necessary to inspect the progress and quality of work.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Knowledge of structural engineering practice and procedures, the design and construction process, Health and Safety, including CDM, quality management systems, fee management, project programming, and resource planning.
  • Knowledge of working drawings, including design for bridge and building structures (including monitoring and repair of structural defects).
