Job Title: Mixing Operative

Location: Taunton

Salary: £13.44 an hour

Hours: Monday - Friday 1:30pm - 10pm

The Recruitment Co is seeking a skilled Mixing Operative to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out a range of mixing activities, including operating equipment in accordance with safe systems of work.
  • Ensure that appropriate equipment and materials are ordered and available for your area.
  • Knowledge of all required documentation and ensure that all relevant paperwork is up to date, along with KPIs.
  • Work with NPD on trials and methods.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others, liaising with production supervisors to raise close calls and identify safety issues.
  • Check all traceability sheets to ensure methodology is correct and work with Technical and production supervisors to make necessary changes.
  • Check chillers, service area on use by dates and inform production supervisors of any issues.
  • Promptly request help if needed, using the telephone or tannoy facility.
  • Carry out a range of hygiene tasks, ensuring your area of responsibility is clean and tidy.
  • Ensure that correct cleaning materials/equipment/PPE is used for the task being carried out.
Requirements:
  • IT literate.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Understanding and experience of external audits and inspections.
  • Excellent time management.
