Executive Chef Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Commis Chef to join our team at Ragdale Hall Spa, a renowned award-winning spa delivering exceptional cuisine to our guests. As a Commis Chef, you will play a vital role in creating innovative, nutritious food that is healthy and tastes great.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare meal ingredients, including seasoning meats and washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits.
- Prepare basic salads and sauces as directed by senior chefs.
- Receive deliveries and verify that all ordered items have been delivered and are of good quality.
- Take inventory of restaurant supplies and notify the supervisor of low or depleted supplies.
- Discard expired and spoiled food items stored in stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Perform basic cleaning duties and ensure work stations are properly sanitized.
- Plate and present meal items as per senior chefs' instructions.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in food preparation or professional cookery.
- Level 2 Hygiene is desirable.
- 39 hours per week worked on a rota basis between 6.00 am and 10 pm, including some weekends.
- Up to £1400 per year in tips (full-time equivalent).
