Quantity Surveyor Job Description

Fawkes and Reece is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Brighton. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the commercial aspects of our residential developments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce detailed budgets and site start budgets to ensure accurate cost control.
  • Prepare quarterly valuations to monitor project costs and identify potential cost overruns.
  • Conduct on-site measurements and assess payments to contractors to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to stakeholders to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
  • Hold a HND level or higher qualification in a relevant field and possess a valid CSCS card.
  • Have experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or surveyor with a residential house builder.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results.
  • Have excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail to gather, interpret, and present data.
  • Be methodical, conscientious, and organized to deliver high standards.
