Community Paediatrician & Lead for Looked After Children

NELFT North East London Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Paediatrician to join our team as Lead for Looked After Children.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to babies, children, and young people across Redbridge.
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external health providers and acute hospitals to ensure seamless care pathways.
  • Participate in the local Child Protection rota, working collaboratively with other professionals to safeguard vulnerable children.
  • Support and mentor colleagues, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
  • CCT or equivalent qualification.
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST.
  • At least 2 years' experience in Community Child Health.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

NELFT North East London Foundation Trust offers a competitive salary of £105,504 to £139,882 per annum pro rata, reflecting the importance of this role in delivering high-quality care to our patients.
