Job Role
We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant. This is a 1-year fixed-term contract in a Teaching Assistant role, which will involve providing individual support to pupils with additional needs.
Working Pattern
The successful candidate will work 24.5 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks per year), with the following schedule:
• Monday: 8:30am - 3:25pm
• Tuesday: 8:30am - 11:45am
• Wednesday: 8:15am - 3:25pm
• Thursday: 8:15am - 3:25pm
• Friday: 8:30am - 11:45am
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with additional educational needs, preferably in a primary or early years setting. They will be able to offer support in maintaining high standards of behavior and motivating children to learn. The successful candidate will also be able to provide individual support to pupils with additional needs, using good literacy and numeracy skills.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have:
• Experience of working with children with additional educational needs
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of behavior and motivating children to learn
• Confidence in providing support using good literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to be fair, apply equal opportunities at all times, and understand the importance of confidentiality
• Resilience, optimism, and a belief that with the right support, all children can make effective progress
• Evidence of team working and ability to use own initiative
• Commitment to the foundation, aims, and values of the school as a Church school
• Commitment to ongoing personal professional development
