As a Dairy Department Supervisor at Giant Eagle, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and success of our dairy department. You'll be responsible for leading a team of associates, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership & Development: Guide, train, and evaluate your team to foster a positive and productive work environment. Implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, ultimately reducing turnover and boosting efficiency.
- Operational Excellence: Develop and execute merchandising strategies aligned with company guidelines to maximize sales and profitability. Monitor department costs and implement measures to improve operational efficiency.
- Customer Satisfaction: Cultivate a culture of exceptional customer service by actively promoting suggestive selling techniques and ensuring all interactions are conducted with integrity and professionalism.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, track weekly reports, and order raw materials and supplies to meet customer demand and optimize profits.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including food safety standards, OSHA requirements, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Promote a culture of safety for team members, customers, and vendors.
