Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Dairy Department Manager to join our team at Giant Eagle. As a key member of our grocery and dairy team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing merchandising plans to meet financial objectives, controlling department costs, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement merchandising plans to meet financial objectives
- Control department costs by monitoring and improving operations
- Maintain a safe and clean environment to ensure health and OSHA requirements are met
- Develop and maintain communication processes with other departments
- Analyze customer satisfaction and team member feedback to identify areas for improvement
- Maintain accurate department records
- Ensure proper procedures are followed to meet out of stock percentage goals
- Promote continuous development of employees and identify candidates for the Team Leader Development Program
- Understand and adhere to the Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Actively support a culture of safety and customer service
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in grocery or dairy
- Prior experience in merchandising and operations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Lifting requirement: up to 50 pounds
