Position: Electrical Systems Engineer

Working Hours: 06:00am to 06:00pm (Continental Shift Pattern)

Compensation: £51,500 PA with a £5,000 Bonus

Company Overview: Options Resourcing Ltd is seeking skilled Shift Engineers to join our talent pool for a prominent global organization specializing in integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We welcome applications from professionals with experience in Critical Environments or those aspiring to transition into this field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the operational integrity and maintenance of site electrical systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and address reactive issues related to all electrical equipment and assets.
  • Document and update information in computer-based systems, particularly the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system.
  • Identify and rectify faults, escalating issues as necessary, particularly in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Install and modify electrical services on-site as required.
  • Maintain clear communication with the Shift Supervisor regarding plant status, isolation procedures, emerging issues, ongoing projects, and housekeeping standards.
  • Accurately report any required parts and challenges encountered during engineering tasks to the Shift Supervisor.

Areas of Expertise:
  • Building Electrical Installations (including associated panels, equipment, and circuits).
  • Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Fire suppression and detection systems.
  • Air conditioning systems, including VAV, FCUs, and Split Systems.
  • Heating systems.
  • Operation of High Voltage (HV) systems (training will be provided).

Qualifications:
  • C&G qualified or equivalent in electrical services/maintenance.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Additional Skills:
  • Competence in Wiring & Installation.
  • Confined Space entry trained (recognized training or apprenticeship).
  • Strong understanding of building services, particularly UPS, generators, static switches, water treatment, refrigeration, and air conditioning.
  • Willingness to participate in on-site and off-site training for newly installed plant and systems, which may require overnight stays.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm, proactivity, diligence, and alertness, with a commitment to engaging in relevant training programs.
