About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Planner to join our team at Sir Robert McAlpine. As a key member of our MEP planning team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of MEP projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programme Development: Develop and validate individual trade contractor programmes, including design, procurement, off-site fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
  • Integration and Coordination: Integrate validated trade contractor programmes into the fully coordinated SRM programme, ensuring all constraints, methods, sequences, and logistics are reflected.
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop, agree, and manage key performance indicators to measure progress of design, procurement, off-site fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
  • Progress Analysis and Reporting: Analyze progress, prepare progress reports (graphical, tabular, and written), as-built programmes, and output records.
Requirements
  • MEP Knowledge: Good knowledge of building-based MEP systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Competent user of PowerProject, Microsoft Excel, and 3D models.
  • Commercial Awareness: Good understanding of the commercial impacts of planning and the ability to analyze and present data effectively.
  • Background: Probably have a mechanical or electrical trade contractor background.
