Role Overview
As a key member of the Senior Management Team, reporting directly to the Managing Director, this position encompasses both strategic and operational responsibilities. It presents a unique opportunity to enhance and refine processes, lead, inspire, and advance a finance team while elevating the financial management information across the organization.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing a variety of financial functions, including the corporate finance department and the service charge accounts team. This team is tasked with creating annual budgets and service charge accounts, as well as managing the annual audit process for numerous developments. A critical aspect of this role is leveraging available management information to better inform the organization and drive operational efficiencies.
This position is diverse and will allow you to serve as the finance lead on various projects throughout the organization. Collaboration with the Group Finance function, also located in the same area, will be essential to share best practices.
Candidate Profile
We seek a dynamic leader with outstanding management capabilities, a high level of motivation, and exceptional organizational skills. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to prioritize effectively and collaborate with other senior colleagues to propel our organization forward. Given the extensive reporting requirements, proficiency in IT, particularly with MS Office and advanced Excel skills, is crucial. Familiarity with software such as Qube Property Management System is advantageous but not mandatory.
This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals aiming to advance their careers to a Head of Department position or for those currently at that level seeking to lead and support a finance team through transformative initiatives.
A recognized accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or an equivalent is essential. Candidates must demonstrate comprehensive experience in all facets of accounting.
