Job Title: Band 5/6 Community Nurse

The Community Childrens Team is a dynamic and supportive team based in Sandwell Special Schools, providing high-quality nursing care and support to children and young people with complex health needs. As a Band 5/6 Community Nurse, you will work in partnership with the multidisciplinary team, education staff, and families to deliver exceptional care and support to our caseload.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with the Community Childrens Team to provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of teaching and learning initiatives.
  • Participate in audit initiatives and quality improvement projects to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to evidence-based practice and research.
Requirements:
  • RN Child branch/RSCN qualification.
  • NMC registration.
  • Degree in specialty or willingness to work towards.
  • ENB 998 (teaching and assessing in Clinical/D33/D32 Practice) or equivalent course.
  • Leadership course.
