Kenneth Brian Associates Limited is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to lead their finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and reside locally to Redhill, as this is an office-based position.
Main Responsibilities:- Manage a small team of three within the Finance department, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless operations.
- Prepare and review month and year-end Profit and Loss accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and manage the company's ongoing monthly and annual cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts to inform business decisions.
- Oversee the recording, execution, and monitoring of all financial transactions, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Monitor all accounts, processing invoices for purchases and sales, and preparing financial statements.
- Process quarterly VAT returns and manage the Fixed Asset Register.
- Produce monthly Management Accounts and conduct all reconciliations.
- Supervise the preparation of monthly payments to creditors and perform month-end procedures, including prepayments and accruals.
- Manage payroll and commission calculations, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Liaise with Directors and the External Accountant to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyze and present complex financial data.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Task-oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of financial reports and analysis.
- Able to manage and motivate a team, providing guidance and support to ensure team members reach their full potential.
