Account Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Handler to join our UK Specialty business in Croydon. As an Account Handler, you will play a crucial role in servicing existing clients and acquiring new business within our Sport & Entertainment division.
Key Responsibilities- Manage incoming enquiries from clients, insurers, and other third parties in a professional and timely manner.
- Work within agreed authority levels to ensure seamless client service.
- Review client demands and needs, advising on the most appropriate insurance solutions to meet their requirements.
- Grow the client base by identifying new business opportunities and developing relationships with key stakeholders.
- Convert insurance needs into sales, driving revenue growth and business expansion.
- Lead and process client new business, renewals, midterm adjustments, and lapses in accordance with current procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Input accurate data onto back-office systems to ensure efficient client management.
- Liaise with insurers and other third parties regarding the administration of client insurance needs.
- Assess, assimilate, analyze, and present to insurers and underwriters to achieve risk acceptance at the most advantageous rate.
- Prepare customer reports on new and existing risks to support commercial lines managers and supervisors.
- Take ownership of actioning and updating the Diary System as advised and within defined time scales.
- Commercial insurance experience, ideally in schemes business.
- Ability to build successful, mutually beneficial business/client relationships.
- Understanding of broking and underwriting processes.
- Highly organized, with good planning skills to achieve tight deadlines and targets.
- Able to work flexibly to meet business needs.
- Completion of or progress towards Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualifications.
