About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our 24/7 Mental Health First Response service. As a key member of our team, you will be the first point of contact for individuals who require urgent mental health support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective mental health support to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis, including triage and risk assessments, and brief psychosocial interventions.
  • Work via telephone and video calls to provide emotional support and guidance to individuals in crisis.
  • Recognize when an individual requires more support than can be provided over the phone and make arrangements for further support with an appropriate registrant, clinician, service, or organization.
  • Offer support, reflection, development, and mentoring to practitioners on the shift.
  • Assess, triage, and onward refer individuals accessing the Lincolnshire Mental Health 111 urgent access team.
  • Provide professional advice and support to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis, as well as other agencies and clinical teams.
  • Support the Here 4 You helpline outside of core hours.
  • Manage and clinically supervise others, and act as shift coordinator.

Requirements
  • Relevant experience of working with adults with mental health needs or clear evidence of substantial experience of working with individuals in crisis and skills that are transferable to both the community/in-patient.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Experience working with children/young people.
  • Evidence of specialized continued professional training (degree level) in clinical practice.
  • Management Training.
