Urban Planner

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Town Planner to join their team in Lancaster. This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary, company car or car allowance, and bonus.
About the Role
The Town Planner will report to the Land & Planning Manager and will have contact with consultants, local planning authorities, stakeholders, and local communities regarding residential development for both immediate and strategic sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce site assessments, detailed examination of planning histories, policy analysis, interpretation, and consideration of material considerations.
- Prepare and project manage different types of planning applications, including Outline/Full and Reserved Matters.
- Liaise and brief internal and external layout designers, external consultants, and officers at Local Planning Authorities.
- Prepare Planning Statements and other planning documents required to support applications.
- Organise supporting information and attend stakeholder/public consultation events.
- Formulate planning strategies to promote medium and long-term development sites.
- Deputise for the Head of Planning as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in development management/planning policy.
- Degree/Masters Planning Degree with MRTPI accreditation.
- Ability to adapt to change and work accurately under pressure.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
