The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team at ZipRecruiter. Our client is a leading Building Services Consultancy that works with a range of industries, including Commercial, Residential, Education, Retail, Leisure, and Health care. They are currently recruiting an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to support senior design engineers in producing Mechanical Services Design throughout the project lifecycle.
The Position
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking full Mechanical Systems Design and working on a variety of projects, including Educational, Residential, Commercial, and more. They will be part of the design team and provide Mechanical engineering support to all engineers, Senior and Junior.
Duties & Responsibilities
- To implement company procedures and policy.
- To undertake mechanical design and assist the project manager with various types of projects in accordance with the company aims and policies.
- To assist and be part of the design team and provide Mechanical engineering support to all engineers, Senior and Junior.
- Liaise with clients and attend meetings on all aspects of the projects.
- Carry out surveys and produce reports.
- Carry out quality inspections of projects.
- Use CAD systems in line with company procedures.
- Producing design calculations both manual and using software.
- Production of manual drawing mark-ups.
- Basic Autocad skills; experience of using Bluebeam / Revit would also be advantageous.
- Carrying out site surveys.
