Job Title: Conveyancing Assistant

CLD Recruitment (Leeds) Limited is seeking a skilled Conveyancing Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Conveyancing department, ensuring the smooth operation of residential and commercial conveyancing transactions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present communications between conveyancing fee earners, clients, and internal administration staff.
  • Audio and copy typing, digital dictation, file opening, and client onboarding.
  • Liaise with clients and third parties, as necessary, in the office and by telephone.
  • Relief reception duties, maintaining diaries, and making appointments.
  • Filing and other clerical duties, including file closing, archiving, and strong room maintenance.
  • Update legal reference material, both hard copy and electronic.
  • Sort and prepare outgoing mail and DX, photocopying, and scanning as required.
  • Draft and prepare bills and other documents.
  • Provide support to other assistants as needed.
  • Prepare instructions for fee earners to be passed to the Client Services Administration Department.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a legal assistant/paralegal and of the Land Registry Portal.
  • Experience of arranging commercial and residential searches using 3rd party providers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, literate, numerate, and accurate.
