About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Power Market Analyst to join our European Power team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and analyzing power market models, writing research on the future of European electricity markets and prices, and contributing to regular reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain complex power market models and datasets
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of European power markets and prices
  • Write research reports and present findings to clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tools and data streams
  • Engage with clients to provide insights and recommendations

Requirements

  • Strong quantitative skills and experience in coding with Python
  • Strong knowledge of the energy industry and European power markets
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other quantitative science
  • Up to five years of experience in the energy industry, either conducting research or working in the wider energy industry
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-graduate qualifications with a focus on energy
  • Natural aptitude for graphically presenting data
  • Experience working with Microsoft office products
  • Professional experience covering European electricity markets
