Procurement Category Specialist Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Category Procurement Specialist to join a public sector organisation as a trusted advisor to the NHS. This role involves working remotely with one day per month in Stockport, Birmingham, or London.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of assigned procurement projects and work streams, working simultaneously across multiple customer accounts in line with the latest public procurement regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop good working relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, building rapport and seeking support from category leads and other category specialists as required.
  • Support the development and implementation of category plans, generating savings and efficiency.
  • Utilise procurement systems and methodologies to support the delivery of procurement processes.
  • Contribute to the category group, supporting category activities, knowledge sharing, product developments, best practice delivery, and innovation.
Requirements
  • Experience running end-to-end procurement processes and knowledge of best practice.
  • Experience with tenders.
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations.
  • Understanding of a procurement category plan.
