This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead a team of analysts and scientists in the QC department, providing key support to the manager and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Lead an established team of analysts and scientists within the QC department, providing key support to the manager and ensuring the smooth operation of testing schedules.
- Act as a coach and mentor, providing guidance and training to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all QC activities aligned to client projects, ensuring that all testing is conducted in accordance with cGMP work practices and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of testing data, identifying and resolving any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
- Author and review SOPs, processes, protocols, and methods to ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of an enthusiastic, supportive, and collaborative environment within the team.
- A degree in Chemistry or a similar scientific discipline, or significant equivalent experience.
- Experience within a QC laboratory working to GMP within a recognized quality system.
- Analytical chemistry experience, ideally with extensive knowledge of HPLC methods and the ability to troubleshoot and provide technical support.
- Extensive experience managing a diverse team of people, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
- Knowledge of GMP guidelines and regulatory bodies, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical and effective manner.
