Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Creative Therapy Assistant. This role will involve working alongside a dynamic and compassionate primary school to support children in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of creative arts programs for students in EYFS, KS1, and KS2
  • Collaborate with teachers to integrate creative therapies into the primary curriculum
  • Work with students with mild SEN, including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech and language issues
  • Design and implement engaging and innovative activities that promote creativity and imagination
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a creative arts or educational setting
  • Strong understanding of creative therapies and their applications in education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for bringing creativity into education and making a positive impact on students' lives
