Job Title: Senior Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated UK registered pharmacy technician to join our team at Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position, but part-time hours may be possible for a suitable applicant. The post-holder will be one of three senior technicians working at this hospital and will be involved in managing the delivery of the SACT service within the hospital.

The hospital does not have aseptic dispensing facilities, so the post holder will be an organised individual who will manage and coordinate the procurement of SACT from commercial companies and from colleagues within the NHS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the procurement of SACT from commercial companies and from colleagues within the NHS.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide a clinical service to inpatients.
  • Cover for other senior pharmacy technicians as needed.
