Job Title: Chief InspectorJob Summary:

This is a challenging role that requires a strong background in quality assurance and process improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the defined Strategic Quality Plan in conjunction with plant leadership, providing quality assurance support to customers, suppliers, partners, and internal manufacturing cells, and participating in continuous improvement activities in targeted areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Quality Customer Interface: Provide quality customer interface and expertise to proactively assure requirements are understood and satisfied, including leading complaint resolution and root cause and corrective action execution.
  2. Quality Team Support: Support and drive the Quality Team working in the manufacturing area relative to the collection and analysis of quality data, providing expertise and ensuring product and process quality requirements are implemented through EQS Policies and Quality Best Practice deployment.
  3. Quality Management Systems: Execute the development, implementation, and improvement of the appropriate Quality Management Systems throughout the operation, providing advanced quality planning support in the development and launch of new products, processes, and services.
  4. Auditing and Compliance: Participate in the auditing of internal Quality Systems and complete part approval documentation to assure that customer requirements are met in new or modified products and processes.
  5. Quality Metrics and Analysis: Analyze organizational quality metrics and perform periodic reviews to evaluate results and recommend action plans to close gaps at an operational level.
  6. Process Improvement: Develop and analyze statistical data and product/process performance to recommend and implement improvements in targeted areas.
  7. Training and Development: Contribute in the design and implementation of quality assurance training programs and conduct training in quality-related topics.
  8. Product Development: Participate in product development and launch activities, including identification of customer expectations, manufacturing and test support, reliability analysis, design reviews, evaluation of test programs, material testing.
  9. Process Capability: Provide support in the way of development and evaluation of process capability, process control plans, analysis of out-of-control conditions, and process audits.
  10. Inspection and Test Plans: Develop, implement, and audit inspection and test plans, standards and acceptance criteria, and procedures/work instructions.
  11. Quality Problem Investigation: Investigate and eliminate causes of quality problems and follow up on corrective actions.
Requirements:
  1. Leadership Skills: Ability to lead a small team of Quality personnel to drive performance.
  2. Team Management: Ability to manage all Team Personnel requirements - H&S, Disciplinary, Training, Sickness, etc.
  3. Quality System Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of Quality System requirements.
  4. Industry Knowledge: Detailed knowledge of industry and customer-specific quality registration schemes and certification processes.
  5. Auditing Techniques: Detailed knowledge of System and process auditing techniques to ensure compliance with defined quality requirements.
  6. Product Knowledge: Knowledge of product and end user application/specifications, including product testing requirements (design/process interface).
