Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scheduler to join our team at James Andrew Recruitment Solutions (JAR Solutions) as a key member of our Housing Repairs team.

About the Role: As a Senior Scheduler, you will be responsible for leading and managing a scheduling support team within a Housing environment, covering both planned and reactive works. Your primary objective will be to ensure that work is scheduled correctly based on prioritization, and that diaries are managed to prevent clashes and ensure a manageable workload.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Manage Scheduling Support Team: You will be responsible for leading a team of schedulers, providing guidance and support to ensure that work is scheduled efficiently and effectively.
  • Schedule Work Correctly: You will ensure that work is scheduled correctly based on prioritization, taking into account the needs of the business and the availability of resources.
  • Oversee Diaries: You will be responsible for overseeing diaries to ensure that no works clash and that a manageable workload is allocated to team members.
  • Monitor Progress: You will monitor the progress of work and services, both in-house and subcontracted, to ensure that deadlines are met and that quality standards are maintained.
  • Liaise with Operatives: You will liaise with operatives to close down and complete jobs on in-house systems, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and that quality standards are met.

Requirements:

  • Management Experience: You will have management experience in an administrative or scheduling style role, with a proven track record of leading and managing teams.
  • Experience Monitoring KPIs: You will have experience monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics, with a strong understanding of how to use data to inform decision-making.
