Marshalls plc is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our Engineering Team in Newport. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the continuous running of our production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned and reactive engineering activities on-site, including electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities.
  • Work on various types of equipment, including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth operation of the production process.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Contribute to the development of the Engineering Team by sharing knowledge and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Apprentice-trained Engineer to NVQ level 3 in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering (Or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives and Team Leaders from both maintenance and production
  • Good understanding of current environmental, health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Desirable skills: 17th OR 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations, PLC fault-finding skills, knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC, experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
