Production Operative Job Description

Pertemps Bristol Industrial is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operative to join our team in Yate, BS37. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating laundry machines, ensuring high-quality output, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load dirty laundry into washing machines, setting the correct wash programme and recording times on washing log sheets.
  • Unload finished washing machines and transfer to dryers, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Correctly handle dirty and clean garments, preventing cross-contamination and maintaining a clean working environment.
  • Organize drying rails by station, hanging correct paperwork and signing off responsibility paperwork.
  • Remove dry garments after 24 hours, fold, and place in relevant clean laundry bags, checking off 3-way checks, paperwork, ticket, and garment.
  • Place clean laundry bags onto the inspection waiting area in day order.
Requirements:
  • Full UK manual driving licence, as occasional van driving may be required.
  • Comfortable with manual handling and able to complete paperwork accurately.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary of £28,816 per annum.
  • Monday to Friday, 2pm-10pm schedule with half an hour for lunch break (unpaid) and two paid tea breaks (morning and afternoon).

After the probation period, you will be entitled to 25 days holiday a year plus Bank Holidays, Perk Box, and 10 days sick pay per year.
