Job Title: B1 Licensed Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled B1 Licensed Engineer to join our team at M Group Services Limited T/A Magdalene Limited. This role plays a crucial part in managing our strategic network and ensuring seamless service handovers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work to meet 99.99% network availability and manage customer incidents and faults within agreed SLAs.
  • Manage customer expectations and provide a single point of contact for customer queries.
  • Undertake or support rapid restoration of network fault resolution within SLA.
  • Take overall proactive responsibility for technical support and issues arising within the environment at Data Centres.
  • Investigate network problems identified using proactive management tools.
  • Ensure incidents are escalated according to Operational Procedures document, as required.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders.
Core Competencies, Knowledge and Experience:
  • Capable of working to 2nd line support level on PDH, SDH & Radio Communications environment.
  • Skills and knowledge on both PDH/SDH networks delivered across fibre, copper and radio bearers.
  • Understanding of network management and use of Network Management Platform tools.
  • Proven track record of successfully prioritizing simultaneous activities within SLA.
  • Proven track record in complex delivery of multiple teams and interfaces.
  • Self-motivating individual with the ability to develop strong customer relationships as well as functioning in a team environment.
  • Must be PC literate and competent with Word/Excel/Visio/MS Project.
  • Industry Standard SDH, PDH, Telephony or IP accreditation qualifications.
  • Recognised technical courses on related technical products and services.
  • CCNA minimum.
  • Approved best practice qualifications such as ITIL, ISO.
  • Knowledge of high voltage substation environment 33kv-400kv or National Grid Services / Network.
