Job Title: Oncology Nurse - Homecare Specialist

Job Description:

Meridian Business Support is working with a leading Clinical homecare company to recruit an Oncology Nurse working within the M25 due to company growth. All Oncology Nurses in the London & surrounding areas will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high-quality patient care and support to patients in their homes for bloods, toxicity assessments, IV chemotherapy, oral chemotherapy, pump disconnections, line care, IM/SC injections, and patient training.
  2. Work as part of a wider oncology team who look after 100,000 patients each year, mainly working solo for the majority of your time.
  3. See 1 - 5 patients in their homes each day, with extensive travelling required between patients.

Requirements:

  1. Registered Nurse - Oncology with a valid NMC PIN.
  2. Formal Oncology qualifications or in-house Oncology training to administer SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy) cannulation and venepuncture competency.
  3. Display a high level of care and empathy to help patients achieve their goals and regain their independence.
  4. Well-organised and comfortable managing your own workload and itinerary.
  5. Basic IT skills required.
  6. Full UK driving license essential for extensive travelling between patients.
