About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Building Planning Coordinator to join our team at Gleeson Development Ltd. As a key member of our Regional senior leadership team, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating all aspects of architectural, engineering, and design/planning activities across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Development Opportunity Evaluation: Assist in the evaluation and appraisal of development opportunities, providing critical information required to purchase land.
  • Planning Approvals: Advise on and secure planning approvals, delivering and reporting as per Group policies and processes to meet the Region's business plan.
  • External Consultant Management: Manage external planning, architectural, and engineering consultants to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery of design information.
  • Technical Planning and Reporting: Provide operational and tactical planning reports and assessments to the RMD and Land Director, presenting clear and reasoned planning advice on potential risks/opportunities and planning gain requirements.
Requirements
  • Relevant Qualification and Experience: A relevant qualification and/or broad experience in Technical/planning with an Engineering focus.
  • Commercial Awareness: Good strong knowledge of the full development/Technical process and Commercial awareness.
  • Planning Management: Broad knowledge of the legal frameworks associated with planning management and development procurement.
  • Project Management: Previous experience as either a project or discipline manager within a development organization.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Environment: Working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Technical Competence: Awareness of Type approval with NHBC, LABC, and SBD.
  • Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements.
  • Numerical and Literate: Numerical and literate.
  • Health and Safety: Broad awareness of H&S/CDM regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Technically competent in using AutoCAD.
