Are you skilled in the technical aspects of live entertainment, including lighting, sound, stage management, audiovisual systems, and rigging? If you possess this expertise, we invite you to consider this opportunity.
Role Overview
As a vital member of our technical team at a renowned cultural venue, you will collaborate closely with the Technical and Facilities Manager, as well as the Technical Supervisor, to fulfill all technical needs across our various locations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting a diverse array of performances and cinema screenings.
- Contributing to the daily operations of the technical department and its resources.
- Working alongside a team of three full-time technicians and mentoring an apprentice technician, along with a group of casual technicians.
- Occasionally assisting with events at additional venues to support a wide range of activities throughout the year.
It is essential to have a solid understanding of Health and Safety regulations and ensure compliance within the team. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required, as you will provide technical support for various shows and events.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
- A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in rigging, operating, and programming theatrical lighting and sound equipment (including digital systems), or a relevant qualification in a theatrical discipline.
This position is located at the cultural venue and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements.
