About the Role:

The Clerk of Works position at Integral UK Ltd is situated at the Sunbury Campus, reporting directly to the Senior Clerk of Works within the engineering division. This role focuses on overseeing the safety protocols for all operations on site, issuing permits for various activities including hot works, working at height, and excavation, while providing essential health and safety guidance to technical, facilities, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:


• Supervise all high and low-risk operations conducted on site, collaborating with contractors, project managers, engineering, and soft services teams.


• Generate permits using the electronic permit management system.


• Issue permits for high-risk tasks such as working at height, ground disturbance, and hot works, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company protocols.


• Review and provide feedback on Risk Assessments and Method Statements submitted by work owners and contractors.


• Develop Risk Assessments and Method Statements for the engineering team.


• Maintain daily communication with contractors and work owners.


• Conduct daily safety audits of ongoing work.


• Participate in regular job-related training, including management of work at heights, hot works, and confined space operations.


• Collaborate with a team of two other Clerks of Works.

Candidate Requirements:


• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to activities such as working at heights, hot works, and lifting operations.


• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.


• Comfortable engaging with clients, contractors, and senior management.


• Proficient in IT applications including Word, Smartsheet, and Excel.


• Capable of performing well under pressure.


• Excellent communication skills.


• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and external partners.


• Minimum of three years of experience in the facilities management sector.


• IOSH certification obtained within the last two years.


• Preferred qualifications include experience issuing high-risk permits and certifications such as IPAF and PASMA.
