About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandising Specialist to join our FMCG Buying team at B&M Retail. As a Merchandising Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and profitability across our product ranges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to ensure stock levels are maintained throughout the year.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create weekly core stock orders and manage orders into the business efficiently.
- Drive performance during key trading periods, such as new product launches and seasonal peaks.
- Analyze data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and make informed decisions.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key suppliers to maximize sales and profitability.
- Manage and update product information, including WSSI's and Line cards, on a daily basis.
- Work closely with the sales team to forecast and plan for future product needs.
- Utilize data analysis skills to inform business decisions and drive growth.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a merchandising or inventory management role.
- Results-driven with a track record of achieving targets and delivering growth.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to work with data to inform business decisions.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
