Job Title: Electronics Quality Assurance Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting assessments of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and complete assemblies to meet established specifications.
  • Identifying faults down to the component level.
  • Maintaining and updating operational instructions and documentation.
  • Ensuring products are handled and tested in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Accurately documenting product data within the company’s ERP system.
  • Providing statistical yield data and technical insights.
  • Introducing new methodologies and developing the necessary documentation.
  • Training team members on testing techniques and procedures.
  • Reporting any training gaps to the Production Supervisor.
  • Communicating any testing challenges to the Production Supervisor.

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel may be required to meet business needs.

Qualifications

  • BTEC ONC/HNC or City & Guilds qualification in electronics.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a comparable manufacturing setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in electronic production and assembly processes.
  • Ability to recognize various types of electrical components.
  • Familiarity with standard tools used in electrical and electronic testing, such as bench power supplies, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Competence in reading circuit diagrams and performing fault analysis to the component level.
  • Knowledge of PIC programming tools and similar devices.
  • Ability to create and modify technical documentation.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding work ethic and adaptability to meet project deadlines.
  • Soldering skills are advantageous.
