Job Title: Head of Merchandising

We Are Adam is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Merchandising to join our team. As a key member of our buying team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of merchandising strategies to achieve sales, profitability, and inventory goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement merchandising strategies to drive sales and profitability.
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to inform buying decisions and ensure effective inventory management.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely product delivery and implement inventory control systems to optimise stock turnover.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, conduct performance evaluations, and address issues promptly.
  • Manage product lifecycle from introduction to clearance, plan and execute promotions, and monitor competitor pricing to adjust strategies.
  • Lead and mentor the merchandise team, provide guidance, conduct performance reviews, and create a positive work environment.
  • Organise training sessions to enhance team skills and present regular performance reports to senior management.
  • Analyse sales reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform future merchandising decisions and present regular performance reports to senior management.
  • Work with the sales team to understand customer needs, partner with marketing to develop advertising campaigns, and coordinate with supply chain and logistics to ensure timely product delivery and distribution.
