Job Opportunity: Lead Sports Coach

Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC, established by Dundee City Council in 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information, and cultural services for the city.

We are seeking enthusiastic and dynamic casual coaches to lead sessions engaging children in the school age Athletics Programme, delivered in the Regional Performance Centre. As a Sports Coach, you will lead the teaching/coaching of various client groups with varying abilities, maintaining and updating participant records, checking equipment, and ensuring a safe environment.

Requirements:

  • Hold an Athletics Level 2 (UKA Athletics Coach qualification)
  • Experience in Athletics coaching, working with children from diverse backgrounds, and planning structured activity sessions
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, ability to work in a team, and communicate effectively with children and young people
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, adaptability, leadership skills, and ability to motivate and enthuse others

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a progressive and developmental programme
  • Maintain and update participant records
  • Check teaching equipment and ensure a safe environment
