Facilities Maintenance Technician

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Facilities Management Manager in overseeing maintenance operations related to mechanical systems, plumbing, and installations, utilizing the CAFM planned system for support.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities Management Manager and Building Services Engineers to manage both planned and reactive maintenance conducted by subcontractors.
  • Serve as the primary contact and be present on-site as necessary, participating in the Facilities Management on-call rotation.
  • Execute scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks on equipment and installations within your area of expertise.
  • Support the Facilities Management Manager in ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations across all FM-controlled activities.
  • Assist the Building Services Engineer in reviewing subcontractor reports concerning completed planned and reactive work.
  • Become designated First Aider and Fire Warden for assigned areas as directed by the Facilities Management Manager.
  • Carry out any reasonable tasks as requested by the Facilities Management Manager.

Qualifications required for the role:

  • NVQ Level 3 plumbing certification
  • City & Guilds qualification ACOP L8/HSG (or equivalent)
  • Engineering qualification such as BTEC National Diploma or City and Guilds
  • Asbestos Awareness Certification
  • Legionella Awareness Training
  • First Aid at Work certification
  • Recognized Health and Safety Qualification
  • Ability to obtain SC security clearance
  • Valid driving license for Car/Van
  • Proficient in IT and MS Office applications
