As a key member of the operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the storage facilities are maintained to the highest standards, contributing to the smooth running of the business.

We are looking for someone with basic electrical, plumbing, and painting/decorating skills who is looking for an all-around maintenance-based role. You will have a positive can-do approach and be able to work both independently and in a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing general maintenance tasks, including repairs, minor decorating, basic electrical replacements, and plumbing work.
  • Carrying out routine equipment and machinery maintenance as part of the scheduled preventative maintenance plan.
  • Operating a forklift (full training provided).
  • Ensuring storage areas and gangways are clean and tidy, including operating a ride-on sweeper.
  • Collecting and processing cardboard and plastic waste for recycling.
  • Assembling and dismantling office furniture and racking storage systems.
  • Assisting the team with various ad-hoc projects and supporting specialist contractors when required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Physical fitness to handle the demands of the job.
  • Knowledge of general plumbing or electrical maintenance is an advantage.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Quick to learn and able to respond effectively to unforeseen issues.
  • A valid driving license is essential due to the location's lack of public transport.
