About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Estates team as a skilled Painter and Decorator. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out painting and decorating work in our schools and residential services across Swansea and Pembrokeshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out all aspects of responsive maintenance works, including carpentry, minor plumbing, and painting.
  • Paint, redecorate, and make good in occupied properties.
  • Perform tasks such as patching or snagging in new kitchens.
  • Conduct full wall and ceiling painting.
  • Address mould removal and repainting challenges.
  • Engage in external painting projects.
  • Analyse problems and identify appropriate tools and materials for repairs.
  • Write reports documenting the problem and summary of actions taken.
  • Keep records of assignments and produce detailed work reports through our maintenance system.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator.
  • Proficiency in various painting techniques.
  • Attention to detail and precision in completing tasks.
  • Ability to work efficiently in occupied properties.
  • Be available and willing to work flexible hours, including weekends when required.
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Previous experience using field maintenance software.
  • CSCS Skilled Worker Card.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
