Location: This role will cover the Swansea and Pembrokeshire areas.

Job Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

Orbis Education & Care is a leading provider of specialist services for children and adults with complex needs associated with autism. We specialize in providing individualized placements for unique individuals.

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our Estates team to carry out required work in our schools and residential services around the Swansea and Pembrokeshire area. This role requires the ability to support with other maintenance work, including carpentry and plumbing.

A Day in the Life:

  • Carry out all aspects of responsive maintenance works, including carpentry, minor plumbing, and painting.
  • Paint, redecorate, and make good in occupied properties.
  • Perform tasks such as patching or snagging in new kitchens.
  • Conduct full wall and ceiling painting.
  • Address mould removal and repainting challenges.
  • Engage in external painting projects.
  • Analyze problems and identify appropriate tools and materials.

Requirements:

  • Experience in painting and decorating.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
