Pertemps is currently seeking a Lead Operations Supervisor for a prominent role within a major automotive manufacturing facility.

Role Overview
This position involves supporting site management in the execution of operational cleaning tasks. Responsibilities will include overseeing labor and resource management, equipment operation and upkeep, adherence to Health & Safety standards, conducting quality audits using IOS platforms, and fulfilling various administrative responsibilities.
Applicants should be prepared to implement a systematic approach to routine scheduling while effectively addressing any urgent or unforeseen work requests from clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing all operational cleaning personnel to ensure timely service delivery that surpasses customer expectations within designated areas.
  • Oversee operational resources to promote efficient teamwork and individual performance, contributing to capacity and resource planning as necessary.
  • Support the Paint Shop Manager and other Site Contract Managers by providing close supervision of the team, addressing employee misconduct, and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety protocols regarding the safe operation of equipment.
  • Assist in sourcing reliable and effective cleaning equipment.
  • Adhere to all service and maintenance protocols for cleaning equipment.
  • Conduct internal training sessions as needed.
  • Provide regular updates and support to the management team.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Demonstrated people management experience from previous roles.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety management systems.
  • Certification as a Lead Quality Auditor for both first and second parties.
  • Proficient in problem-solving methodologies (8D or similar).
  • Valid driving license issued by DVLA.
  • Experience in handling customer inquiries and complaints.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
  • IOSHH Managing Safety certification.
  • Effective delegation skills.
  • Relevant degree.
  • Experience managing staff in an industrial cleaning context.
Personal Attributes and Skills
  • Ability to balance determination with diplomacy to influence colleagues and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Exceptional management capabilities, demonstrating high levels of self-organization and the ability to lead by example.
  • Self-driven to see tasks through to completion.
  • Proficient in creating professional documents using Microsoft Office.
  • Skilled in process flowcharting and conducting process improvement analyses.
  • Capable of preparing and delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
Additional Information
  • This role involves supervising a team of five supervisors, overseeing approximately 80 operational staff.
  • Working hours are structured across three fixed days per week.
